Background: Hydrosurgegy for debridement is an effective methode in preparing the wound bed. Versa jet system is a new device which combines lavage and sharp debridement, it has more advantages in debridment than traditional methods. Subjects and Methods: from june,2013 to June 2014, the authors treated 50 patients with chronic wound. the authors have used the hydrosurgery system for wound debridement on those patients. Results: the authors done hydrodebridment on 50 patients in which almost are diabeitc foot ulcers and pressure sore; 60 percent chronic wound has sinus tracts, fistulas, tunnels. The authors noted that the rate of clean wound after the 1st hydrosurgery is very high: 62 percent, and the state of wound infection significantly reduce from 76 percent positve bacterial culture pre-op to 22 percent post-op. And 100 percent monitored patients have good resultat of wound. Conclusion: The Versa jet is safe and useful in debridement on chronic wound.
