The urbanization of Hanoi is proceeding at a dynamic pace and this influences the development of the traditional trade villages in Hanoi. Some traditional trade villages are perishing, while others are becoming more prosperous. To continue to exist, some traditional trade villages need to improve the technology used in production, diversify models, adjust price, improve quality and marketing and obtain trademark protection. Artisans, employers and local government officials need to integrate all aspects of business from production technology to marketing to employee performance.
