Sustainable water resource management includes conservation, efficient use, and water quality management. Although activities relating to water quality assessment, water discharge management, and water resource planning often focus on the pollution level of the water bodies, water quality assessment at specific areas/ regions should be attention. The use of a geographic information system (GIS) based on a water quality information system and spatial analysis with inverse distance weighted (IDW), neighbor nearest (NN), or ordinary Krigging (OK) interpolations allows establishing a map of water quality indicators of La Buong River that run through Dong Nai province. We used data at six sampling locations, Phosphate (PO4 3-) was monitored in 2013, fully covering two seasons: dry and rainy. Mapping of spatial and temporal changes of some water parameters will be used to assess water quality across the river, and find the sources of pollution. The map of water quality will improve monitoring, implement water quality standards leading to better management and control.
