Variations are found rarely in deep palmar arch. In this study, the authors dissected 38 hands derived from 18 formalinfixed hands and 20 frozen specimens in order to identify anatomical variations of the deep palmar arch. A complete deep palmar arch was found in 97 percent of the cases and divided into 4 types, while the remaining 3 percent possessed an incomplete palmar arch. Types of incomplete palmar arch are divided into 2 types. A very rare variaton of the deep palmar arch is reported. These results will enhance anatomical knowledge of the region and reduce complication in surgical approaches.
