Globba pendula Roxb., Anti-inflammatory.

Cây ngải mọi (Globba pendula Roxb.) là một loài thảo mộc thuộc chi Globba (Zingiberaceae), có khả năng chữa các bệnh xương khớp, phong thấp trong y học cổ truyền Việt Nam. Trong nghiên cứu này, cao chiểt tổng số và cao chiết phân đoạn của cây ngải mọi đưọc tạo thành và đánh giá hoạt tính kháng khuẩn, kháng viêm. Kết quả cho thấy cao chiết tổng số và các phân đoạn có hoạt tính kháng phần lớn các vi sinh vật kiểm định, trong đó cao chiết có 2 -hydroxy-4,4 , 6 -trimethoxy-chalcone ở nồng độ 0,08 mg/mL thể hiện hoạt tính kháng 7 chủng vi khuẩn kiểm định thuộc các loài Vibrio cholera, Escherichia coll (ETEC), Escherichia coll (EHEC), Staphylococcus aureus, Enterococcus faecal!s, Salmonella typhimurium, Salmonella enteritidis. Đối với hoạt tính kháng viêm, các loại cao chiết tổng số, cao chiết chứa 2 -hydroxy-4,4 ,6 - trimethoxy-chalcone và boesenboxide đều có tác dụng ức chế quá trình viêm cấp tính và mãn tính, trong đó 2 -hydroxy-4,4 , 6 -trimethoxy-chalcone cho hiệu quả ức chế viêm tương đương với diclofenac. Kết quả thu được cho thấy tiềm năng của cây ngải mọi trong điều trị bệnh viêm nhiễm và xương khớp ở con người.

Wormwood Globba pendula Roxb.) is an herb of the genus Globba (Zingiberaceae) capable of treating osteoarthritis, rheumatism in Vietnamese traditional medicine. In this study, total extract and fractionated extract of wormwood were generated and antibacterial and anti-inflammatory activity of these extracts were evaluated. The results showed that the total extract and the fractions were active against most of the tested microorganisms, of which the extract contained 2 -hydroxy-4,4 , 6 -trimethoxy-chalcone at the concentration of 0.08 mg/mL. showed antibacterial activity against 7 strains belonging to Vibrio cholera, Escherichia coll (ETEC), Escherichia coli (EHEC), Staphylococcus aureus, Enterococcus faecalis, Salmonella typhimurium, Salmonella enteritidis. For anti-inflammatory activity, total extracts, extracts containing 2 -hydroxy-4,4 , 6 -trimethoxy-chalcone and boesenboxide all inhibit acute and chronic inflammatory processes, of which 2 -hydroxy-4,4 , 6 -trimethoxy-chalcone showed anti-inflammatory effect comparable to diclofenac. The results showed the potential of wormwood in the treatment of infectious diseases and osteoarthritis in humans.
