Aim: Investigate knowledge about, attitude toward and practice of voluntary non-remunerated blood donation and factors promoting blood donation in 5 remote districts in 5 pvovinces consisting of Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Dien Bien, Quang Binh, Binh Dinh. Methodology: A cross. sectional survey was conducted on 571 donors or walk-in donors. Results: The knowledge about blood donation with "good" and "poor" is respectively 34.9 percent and 65.1. 95 percent of donors supported friends/relatives in giving blood. 28.2 percent of respondents donated blood, 21.7 percent of donors have relatives/friends who donated blood. Some factors motivating blood donation knowledge about, attitude towards and practice of blood donation are age (more than 35 years old), people who donated blood.
