The adsorption of La3+ and Nd3+ ions conformed to the linear form of the Langmuir adsorption isotherm. The adsorption capacities for La3+ and Nd3+ were found to be 210.52 mg/g and 190.47 mg/g at pH = 6, respectively. When treating the metal ion loaded polymer with 0.1 N HCl, it is possible to recover all of the La(III) and Nd(III) from this polymer. After 6 cycles of adsorption-desorption, the adsorption capacity of hydrogel is still high.
