Thai Binh is one of provinces in big foodstuff production area in Red river Delta. Natural and ecological conditions of Thai Binh is favourite for comprehensive agriculture development, diversified crops structure, especially brackish and saline aquaculture. From innovation process to now, growth speed of agriculture in Thai Binh is quite high and it plays a leading role in livelihood and social stabilization. However, its role is reducing gradually nowaday. Agriculture development orientations in next years are: developing agriculture must create the most wealth, keep alive the most people based on agriculture modernization and technology application; implementing mechamization and automation in production process; improving intensive cultivation and increasing crops productivity; changing agriculture structure follows the trend of high-quality commodity production; enhancing production effects of small economic areas in Thai Binh province; especially, developing agriculture must be attach to processing industry.
