A study was carried out at household in three districts of Hanoi namely Ba Vi, Chuong My and Soc Son from Apr. 2013 to Nov. 2014 to determine the growth ability of Fl(BBBxLS) calves from birth to 12 months of age. In this study, 90 calves (45 males and 45 females) were weaned at 6 months old and raised under a semi-grazing system where the calves were grazed about 6-8 h per day. The concentrate and roughage feeds were offered during the rest of time. Body weight was determined by electronic scales every 3 months. The results showed that birth weight reached 29,9 kg; weight at 6 and 12 months was 186,2 and 326,4 kg. The average daily gains were 867.9 and 776.9 g/day in 0-6 and 6-12 months of age. The relative growth rates for the period 0-6 and 6-12 months of age were 144.6 percent and 54.7 percent, respectively.
