Objectives: To evaluate the feasibility of tumor resection and primary anastomosis for colon cancer complicated on emergency. Materials and methods: 99 colon cancer patients complicated with acute obstruction, perforated, hemorrhage and abscess admitted from 2008 to 2013 into the hospital were reviewed. The database was analyzed as to the results of their surgical management by SPSS.16.0. Results: In the whole group, most common complication was obstruction in 63 6 percent, secondly abscess in 18,2 percent, hemorrhage and perforation were in 9 percent. Tumor removal and primary anastomosis were mostly performed in 49 cases (49,5 percent), postoperative morbidity and mortality .in 14,3 percent and 2 percent; removal of tumor and colectomy as Mikulicz procedure were 44 (44,4 percent), postoperative complication accounted in 6,8 percent, no mortality. Conclusions and recommendations: Colon cancer complicated is sever form of disease which represents a serious problem of therapeutic strategy, that is still intensely debated at present. From study the authors suggested tumor resection with primary anastomosis for colon cancer complicated is acceptable giving relatively satisfactory results, depending on the stage of tumor, patient condition as well as skill of surgeons, and side to side anastomosis is safe and feasible.
