The 8 yeast strains from different resources were collected and tested about halotolerance by replicating on the medium containing 3 to 12 of NaCl. The colonies that developed from spores after dissection and incubation were also tested in the same way. The obtained data showed that halotolerant character in the yeast could be controled by genes in nuclei and also by genes in the cytoplast
