(S)-7,8-Difluoro-3-methyl-3,4-dihydro-2H-benzo[b][I,4] oxazine (7), was synthesized in three steps starting from methyl D-lactate (3) and 2,3,4-trifluoroaniline (4) through the intermediates methyl (2S)-2-(2,3,4trifluoroanilino)propionate (5) and (2S)-2-(2,3,4-trifluoroanilino)propane-1-ol (6). The structure of the obtained compounds have been confirmed by the JR, 1H, 13C-NMR, MS spectra and optical rotation [anpha]2. The influent factors for the synthesis have been investigated.
