Litchi fruit borer (LFB) Conopomorpha sinensis Bradley (Lepidoptera: Graclllariidae) is one of the most serious pests in litchi growing areas in the northern of Vietnam. Study on its biological characteristics and behaviours was carried out in 2009 and 2010 at Luc Ngan district (Bac Giang province). Obtained results show that its lite span was completed in 26 - 27 days at 29.19°C - 30.2°C and 76.25 to 77.9 percent relative humidity. It was found that the position of the branches in one litchi tree and the location of tree affected to the distribution of LFB adults. They were more abundant in the lower part of the tree canopy and.on the trees which were located in the bottom of the hill. This characteristic should be taken in the account when spraying chemicals to control them.
