Objectives: To evaluate the tuberculosis (TB) case notification activities and to identify factors that relate to the TB case management and treatment results in Gia Binh district, Bac Ninh province in 2009-2010. Subjects: 116 TB cases notified and treated following the guideline of National TB Program at the Health Center of Gia Binh district from 1/1/2009 to 31/12/2010. Methods: retrospective study of medical records at the District Health Center and case report from Commune Health Stations. Results and Conclusion: New case report rate of all types is 106/100.000 inhabitants; new pulmonary cases AFB (+) 72/100.000; 82 percent from 15-55 years old; male 64,8 percent; cultivator 60,34 percent. Communes with highest case notification rate are Dai Bai 25,9 percent; Dong Cuu 12,93 percent; Van Ninh 10,34 percent; Xuan Lai 8,62 percent; Binh Duong 6,03 percent. Communes with highest rate of treatment drop-out are: Van Ninh (7 percent), Binh Duong (4 percent), Dai Bai, Dong Cuu, Lang Ngam (3 percent), Xuan Lai (10 percent).
