Due to anti-inflammation, germicide and immunological effects, Cerium nitrate (CN) is widely used for severe bum injuries. The aim of this study is to evaluate the influence of CN solution of 1,75 percent on the growth and emigration of cultured fibroblast which is the important cell on wound healing. The results revealed that the form of fibroblast has no alteration when CN supplemented cultured medium at a concentration of 100-50-25 ug/ml. The growth and emigration of fibroblat in medium containing CN at a concentration of 100 ug/ml were similar to that of fibroblast in medium containing FBS of 5 percent. In medium containing CN at a concentration below 50 ug/ml, the expansion and emigration of fibroblast were lower than that of fibroblast in medium containing FBS of 10 percent insignificantly.
