Background: Autism is a developmental disorder that affects many aspects of the development, especially in influential communication skills and social relationships. Autism child is characterized by some specific characteristics; it is hard to instruct oral hygiene and dental care for children with autism. Objectives: Evaluating 87 autism children aged 3 to 8 years at Newstar kindergarten to describe oral health status in autism children. Methods: crosssectional analysis. Results: The male-to-female ratio among study group was 5.2:1. The decay rate at medium level was 64.37 percent. The average dmft and DMFT index were 2.60 and 0.85, respectively. SiC index was high of 5.2. 26.43 percent children had gingivitis. PLI = 2.35. Conclusions: The decay rate in autism children at Newstar kindergarden was at medium level. Mean of DMFT and DMFT scores were low. However, the SiC index was at high level. Older children (6 - 8 years) had more tooth cavities and gingivitis than younger ones (3 - 5 years).
