Morphological characters of the bean weevil A. obtectus reared in the laboratory allow the distinction of two bean weevil species attacking beans kept in the store after postharvesting. Dry tobaco leaves with 250 g/5 kg of bean were highly toxic for A. obtectus if kept 60 days with the beans in the store. Mixed insecticide Gu Chong Jing 25DP with dose of 1 g GCJ/1 kg bean was controlling A. obtectus during 90 days of storage of the beans.
