In this paper, we demenstrate that the low temperature (4oC) strongly reduces the activity of endogenous gibberellin, at the same time it increased the absicic acid in rice seedings (Oryze sativa L., indica type var. "NN-8" and "CR-203"). The gibberellin treatment had changed the correlation of this endogenous phytohormone pair for the better to the growth of rice seedlings passed the low temperature
