The sticky corn variety (Zea mays L.) in Bac Ai district, Ninh Thuan province has many good agronomical characteristics such as resistance to shedding, good drought tolerance, less infection with pests and diseases, beautiful color and grain shape, and wide adaptability. In order to exploit the potential and yield of this maize variety, a study to determine the appropriate dose of N-P-K fertilizer for planting in the winter-spring crop in Ninh Son district, Ninh Thuan province was carried out. The experiment was arranged in a randomized complete block design with 3 replications. The research results show that the higher dose of N-P-K fertilizer, the more growth, leaf yield, corn yield, economic efficiency and profit rate. The fertilizer treatments of NT4 (160 kg x ha-1 N + 100 kg x ha-1 P2O5 + 90 kg x ha-1K2O kg x ha-1) gave highest results. However, if the amount of N-P-K fertilizer continues to increase, the growth, yield and economic efficiency will decrease. The results of this study are the basis for scientists to develop a process for cultivating indigenous sticky corn varieties in Ninh Son district, Ninh Thuan province.
