Red blood cell transfusion constitutes one of the mainstays of therapy in the management of anaemic peri-operative patients to improve the quality of the treatments. Objectives: (1) Indication and effectiveness of RBC transfusion and (2) the patient's conditions which affected to the dedsion of the transfusion. Material and Method: Hemoglobin and hematocrit indices were collected from 138 patients before and after operation with using RBC components. Results: 18.8 percent patients need urgent transfusion. Hemoglobin threshold for transfusion were 79.9 g/L to 80.8 g/L, is lower than its in patients more than 60 year old (82.6 g/L) or patients with heart and lung diseases (88.4 g/L). Conducsion: Indication of the RBC packed is based on the hemoglobin threshold, which could be adjusted by age and diseases of patients.
