We have investigated the modification of unsaturated polyester resin with products derived from epoxy resin and laccol. The physical and mechanical properties of the resin and composite materials based on modified unsaturated polyester resins have been determined and proved to be better than those of the resin and materials based on unmodified ones. The activities of catalysts used in the reaction between epoxy resin and laccol have been also studied
