The study results showed that during 5 years, there were 11-17 storms, 4 heat-waves with in total of 9 -11 days, 22-24 cold-waves with in total of 127-135 days happening in two provinces. The injury and death data collected from the studied Commune Health Stations during 5 years indicated that the number of injury and death due to all causes recorded during the storm, damaging and very cold days tended to be increased with the total storm, damaging and very cold days. At Nam Dinh province, during the storm, damaging and very cold days, the traffic injuries was the leading cause (35.7 percent and 63.4 percent, respectively), happened mostly in males (69.2 percent and 75.6 percent), in farmers (53.8 percent and 46.3 percent), at working age from 1560 years old (61.5 percent and 75.6 percent). The rate of deaths due to all causes tended to be increased from 2-7.7 percent and from 1-25.5 percent, respectively with total storm days from 0-18 days and damaging and very cold days from 12-51 days. At Thai Sinh province: during the storm, damaging and very cold days, the fall was the leading cause of injuries (33.3 percent and 32.1 percent, respectively), happened mostly in males (60 percent and 82.1 percent), in farmers (66.7 percent and 53.6 percent), at working age from 1560 years old (60 percent and 67.8 percent). The rate of deaths due to all causes tended to be increased from 0,63.8 percent and 2.4-16.8 percent, respectively with total storm days from 6-13 days and damaging and very cold days from 13-46 days. The authors proposed some measures for mitigating community's injuries and deaths affected by changeable climate and to integrate into existing measures for coping with climate change at these localities.
