Asset recovery together with preventive measures play an important role in a comprehensive strategy of preventing and combating corruption in any country in the world. This is one of the main contents of the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC). Therefore, the article will introduce main requirements of the UNCAC on asset recovery; evaluate Vietnamese law and practice on asset recovery; and on that basis, make proposals to improve and well enforce relevant law and regulation in Vietnam according to the UNCAC requirements.
