The objective of the study to describe the knowledge, attitude and drinking behavior among male in working age in Ninh Hiep commune, Gia Lam district, Hanoi city. A cross-sectional descript The rate of alcohol use within the past 1 year is 87.1 percent and the first week back here is 66.9 percent ive study with a sample size of 272 men aged 15-60 currently living in the study area was carried during from November 2013 to May 2014. The study results showed that 90.8 percent of male aged 15-60 have been drinked at least 1 unit of alcohol. Proportion of male having at least a drink in last 12 months is 87.1 percent and during last week is 66.9 percent. About 87 percent of respondents said using alcohol mgih have some negative effects to their health. About 91 percent of respondents did not know the rules of the Govemment related to alcohol harmful control. The study also showed described attitudes of respondent regarding to alcohol use, 73.9 percent of them have no positive attitudes torward alcohol control, 68 percent said peer pressure is one of main factor that make them drink more. Age, knowledge, occupation, attitude are found having association with alcohol drink among male aged 15-60. The study describes a number of factors related to drinking behavior of men Ninh Hiep commune, which make recommendations to the people and information support for the introduction of measures to limit the harm of alcohol locally.
