In this study, a total of 147 students in Muong Lan secondary school of Son La province were interviewed for helminth diseases. Objectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate the student' knowledge and awareness of helminth diseases. Methods: A cross-sectional and descriptive study was conducted. Face to face interviews with a list of prepared questionnaires were carried out to collect information about helminth diseases. The results were as follows: There were 42.9 percent female students and 57.1 percent male students. The rate of the students who knew about ascariasis, ancylostomatos, trichuriasis, taeniasis, taeniosis saginata and liver fluke diseases was 72.9 percent, 51.70 percent, 55.78 percent, 41.49 percent, 37.41 percent,55.78 percent respectively. 63.9 percent had wrong understanding about the transmission route of helminth diseases. The most known outcome caused by helminth diseases was malnutrition with the highest percent of 70.06 percent. The preventive measures were counted as follows: good food hygiene and habits 84.35 percent, periodical treatment 75.75 percent, good control of human and animal waste 47.62 percent.
