Tim O'Brien is postmodern short story writer famous in America. His works were familiar to readers Vietnam for many years. He is American writer writing about the American war in Vietnam by a talented way and rich human values most. As the soldiers directly involved in the battle so "The things they carried" reappeared true and lively death scene and horror of battle. Thereby, the writer expressed repentance of a soldier brought misery to the people of Vietnam and speak desire peace for mankind on Earth.
