This paper presents a vector control with two cascaded loops to improve the properties of Dynamic Voltage Restore (DVR). The paper presents the basic components of the DVR, control strategy for balanced and unbalanced voltage sag. The mathematical model of the DVR and control system in the rotating dq coordinate system are next. Investigated finally, a study on stability of control system with the proposed strategy as well as simulation results are given to demonstrate the validity of the proposed configuration.
