As the petroleum operators. tend to develop far offshore projects, it is necessary to perform environmental monitoring surveys for deep-sea area. Based on the modification of current procedures for offshore monitoring and the selection of appropriate sampling devices and instruments, the task of sampling for deep-sea area is assessed to befeasible in Vietnam. This ensures health-safety-environment performance for oil and gas operation and further contributes to national marine sovereignty strategy.
