Khu bảo tồn thiên nhiên Bắc Mê, tỉnh Hà Giang có tiềm năng đa dạng sinh học cao với nhiều loài động thực vật quý, hiếm, nguy cấp. Tuy nhiên, thông tin về đa dạng thành phần loài cá ở khu vực này còn nhiều hạn chế. Nhằm cung cấp hiện trạng thành phần loài và phân bố các loài cá, hai đợt khảo sát đã được thực hiện vào tháng 7 và tháng 12 năm 2019 tại 13 điểm có độ cao từ 92 tới 325 m so với mặt nước biển thuộc lưu vực sông Gâm ở khu bảo tồn. Danh sách thành phần loài cá cơ bản hoàn thiện với 42 loài thuộc 34 giống, 20 họ và 7 bộ. Cypriniformes là bộ đa dạng nhất với 8 họ, 22 giống, 28 loài. Trong đó, Cyprinidae đa dạng nhất với 6 giống và 8 loài. Nghiên cứu đã bổ sung 4 loài cho khu hệ cá ở lưu vực sông Hồng và ghi nhận 1 loài trong Danh lục Đỏ IUCN, 3 loài thuộc Nhóm I và II theo Nghị định 26/2019/NĐ-CP của Chính phủ. Loài Opsariichthys minutus và Channa gachua phân bố rộng nhất. Số lượng loài lớn nhất tại các điểm ở độ cao 243 m và 121 m so với mực nước biển. Các kết quả trên là dẫn liệu cơ sở quan trọng cho công tác khai thác, bảo tồn và phát triển bền vững nguồn lợi cá của địa phương.

Bac Me Nature Reserve in Ha Giang province is known for its high potential for biodiversity, with numerous rare and precious species of flora and fauna listed in both the Viet Nam Red Data Book and IUCN Red List. However, the information regarding the diversity of composition of fish in the reserve has been poor until now. In order to provide information on the current status and distribution of fish species, two field surveys in July and December 2019 at 13 stations ranging f-rom 92 to 325 m a.s.l. of Gam River within the reserve. The results provided a complete list of fish species composition of the reserve with 42 species f-rom 34 genera, 20 families, and 7 orders. Cypriniformes was found to be the most diverse order, with 8 families, 22 genera, and 28 species, of which Cyprinidae was the dominant family, with 6 genera and 8 species. The study identified 4 new records for the fish fauna in the Red River basin, and recorded one species in the IUCN Red List and 3 species belonging to Group I and II according to the Government's Decree 26/2019/NĐ-CP within the nature reserve. The largest number of species is at stations of 243 m and 121 m a.s.l. These results provide essential data for the exploitation, conservation, and sustainable development of local fish resources.
