Southern Central Vietnam coastal island system has about 200 islansd which were distributed on 10 island groups. They have advantages on geographycal position and bring many useful benenifits about natural resources, economy and national sovereignty. The big resource values are included tourism resources and conservation of sea - island biological diversity. The big economic values are development of sea transport and sea port, ecotourism and general service center, offshore fishing center, fishing logistics, marine services and revenue of Yen Sao. The values of national sovereignty are expansion of the national territory on the sea and security, defense.
