This study aimed to create water super absorbent material associated with coir dust by the radiation grafting techniques. The material is high water absorbent, environmentally friendly and suitable for application to arid climate areas, agricultural application of high technology to save irrigation. The material application rate of acrylic acid/coir dust was 2/1 at dose of irradiation: 15 kGy , irradiation dose rate: 4.22 kGy/h, saturation water-absorbing content about 310 gig in living water (pH - 6.5) and temperature suitable for drying is 30 - 50°C. The product is brown color, particle sizes about 0.05 - 2 mm, overlapping scales structure of material at the micro size, saturation water absorbent of the mat~rial decreases with increasing concentration of mineral salts solution: CuSO4, FeSO4, N32SO4 and the highest water absorbent of material at pH = 9 (about 328 gig). Furthermore, the water absorbent material could slowly drain off in the sandy environment and the soil environment Initial survey results showed on coffee arabica is that the germinating time, germination rate, survival rate of seeds and drought - resistant, growth of coffee seedlings were better than control experiments. Drought - resistant of young Coffee arabica increased when the SAP concentration applied rose from 0.05 to 0.4 percent, and when additional 0.1 percent SAP was applied on coffee seeds and coffee seedlings, the best results were achieved.
