Education promotion in general, access to digital training in higher education in particular, fundamentally facilitates sustainable development of education in the future. The industrial revolution 4.0 characterized by the recent digital transformation contributes to redefining higher education institutions. The article indicates that converting higher education to digital training shall make a breakthrough in promoting higher education in terms of two aspects, namely, further access by learners; and better quality of training by taking advantage of technology. It thereby presents some initial experiences in digital transformation in higher education of Korea and Singapore, and offers policy recommendations to accelerate this process in Vietnam.
