Nghiên cứu này giới thiệu một hướng tiếp cận về mối quan hệ dân tộc trong nghiên cứu dân tộc học và nhân học qua các lý thuyết về “người lạ”. Bài viết được chia làm ba nội dung chính. Phần thứ nhất điểm qua các lý thuyết nghiên cứu về quan hệ dân tộc trên thế giới. Phần thứ hai thảo luận về tình hình áp dụng lý thuyết trong nghiên cứu ở Việt Nam. Phần thứ ba trình bày một số chủ thuyết xung quanh khái niệm “người lạ” và thảo luận khả năng áp dụng các lý thuyết này trong nghiên cứu quan hệ dân tộc ở nước ta.

The study introduces an approach to ethnic relations in ethnographic and anthropological research through “the stranger” theories. The article is divided into three main sections. The first part provides a brief review of research theories on ethnic relations in the world. The second part discusses the application of theories on ethnic relations in research in Vietnam. The third part presents some theories surrounding the concept of “the stranger” and discusses the applicability of these theories in the study of ethnic relations in our country.
