After the event of 11 September, 2001, the debate of public diplomacy emerged in many countries, attracting the attention of many scholars, researchers and policy makers. In the Republic of Korea (RoK), although the focus on public diplomacy really started only in 2010, up to now, its public diplomacy has spread quite widely both in Asia and globally. To reap the above results, the country has renovated and upgraded the public diplomacy, considering it as the third pillar, in addition to economic diplomacy and political diplomacy. Then, in 2016, the RoK promulgated the Public Diplomacy Act, creating a solid legal foundation to promote its public diplomacy activities. So, what is the vision, strategy and agenda of the RoK's new-style public diplomacy after 2010? This article will answer the question.
