Leachate from landfills in Phu Binh district has high COD parameters which is from. 2300 to 9200 mg/l. Because leachate has complex component and rapid transformation, leachate treatment technology in the world have combined biological processes with chemistry and physical chemistry processes. Flocculation is a method having high efficiency and low cost to reduce COD concentration, SS and color. This study were conducted to select flocculation agents and improve efficiency of flocculation process. The experiments were conducted in the laboratory using ferric salt (1800 mg/l) and flocculating angent N28 (2 mg/l). Results demonstrated that this method remove 39.2 percent COD and 72.3 color.
