Research on influence of seed storage and treatment methods,.to germination of Castanopsis piriformis showed that germination rate of the seed that harvested at the time of cracking shell (ripe harvest), after 3 days of treatment by soaking seeds in fungicide solution Carbenzim 500FL 0.125 percent in 30,minutes, then washed and soaked in water at 40-50.C for 6 hours is best (86.7 percent), while germination rate of treatment by cutting half shell thickness in opposite side to the remains of stYle with green seed shell is only 50.8 percent. Research on storage of Castanopsis piriformis seed different methods and checked after 10, 30, 60 and 90 days also showed that germination rate of the seed harvested in the period of cracked shel1, preserved at temperature of 5°C, after 10 days had is 86.7 percent, and is remained 44.2 percent after 90 days and this is also the best variant of seed treatment The germination rate is different according to shell forms (green, ripe and ripe cracked), but no difference when havest in the time of ripen and cracked shell (ripe harvest).
