Quản lý hoạt động tự học của sinh viên trong trường đại học là một trong các hoạt động giáo dục mà hiện nay đang được các nhà trường rất quan tâm. Có thể nói quản lý hoạt động tự học của sinh viên là hình thức quan trọng để phát triển phẩm chất và năng lực cho người học. Quản lý hoạt động tự học của sinh viên trong nhà trường sẽ giúp thúc đẩy những hành vi mang tính xã hội tích cực cho người học; đồng thời, tạo những tác động tốt đối với các mối quan hệ giữa giảng viên và sinh viên, giữa sinh viên và sinh viên, giúp tạo nên hứng thú học tập cho sinh viên. Thực tế nhiều sinh viên tuy đã ý thức được về tầm quan trọng của việc tự học, nhưng đại đa số chưa biến động cơ thành hoạt động tích cực và chưa có cách tự học hiệu quả. Nghiên cứu được thực hiện dựa trên các cơ sở lý luận và thực tiễn, phân tích, tổng hợp hoạt động bằng phiếu hỏi đối với 225 cán bộ, giảng viên và 395 sinh viên của trường Đại học Khoa học – Đại học Thái Nguyên. Kết quả cho thấy đối tượng tham gia khảo sát nhận thức rõ về thực trạng quản lý hoạt động tự học của sinh viên nhà trường, bài viết tập trung đánh giá thực trạng về quản lý hoạt động tự học của sinh viên trường Đại học Khoa học – Đại học Thái Nguyên làm cơ sở đề xuất các biện pháp nâng cao chất lượng quản lý hoạt động này tại trường Đại học Khoa học – Đại học Thái Nguyên ở các nghiên cứu tiếp theo.

Managing self-study activities of students at universities is one of the most concerning educational activities. It can be said that managing students’ self-study activities is an important form to develop students' qualities and abilities. Managing students' self-study activities in schools will help promote learners' positive social behaviors; as well as, create a good effect on the relationships between teachers and students, between students and students, enhance students' motivation in learning. In fact, although many students are aware of the importance of self-study, the vast majority have not turned their motivation into practice and do not have an effective method of self-study. The study was done based on the basis of theoretical and practical research, analyzing and synthesizing data from questionnaires, with 225 staff, lecturers and 395 students at TNU - University of Science. The results show that the survey participants are aware of assess the current situation of student self-study management, the article focused on assessing the current status of self-study management of students at TNU - University of Science as a basis for proposing measures to improve the quality of this activity at the TNU - University of Science in the next studies.
