Macrotermitinae with subterranean nests are serious pests for coffee In the highlands of Vietnam. The most effective way for controlling them is the bait method. The method has two steps: first many lures are placed in the coffee plantation with one part in soil and the other part free. The lure made of two rubber wood spills with a bamboo tube. The second step consists of putting bait in the bamboo tubes until their openings were covered by mud. This research was to investigate the most suitable density of lure In the coffee plantation by using three densities: 1100 lures/ha, 775 lures/ha and 550 lures/ha. It was shown that the most suitable density was 550 lures/ha.
