In many reasons having caused the uncultivated ponds of the tiger shrimp, disease has emerged as the major one. The shrimp disease due to viral agent is in complicated situation and being wide spread along the coast of Vietnam, which caused major mortality in cultured shrimp and significant economic losses to farmers. Therefore, the farmers were unable to reinvest for their further cropping seasons, this has led the enlarging of uncultivated shrimp ponds in recent years. The paper provides the insight on the original of the unculturable Tiger shrimp ponds in the coastal provinces of Vietnam in recent years.
