This article analyses characters of organized criminal groups specified in the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime and requirements for United Nations member states in translating conduct of participation in organized criminal groups as a crime into national law. It also points out theoretical backgrounds and practices to improve Vietnam's criminal law, establish legal frameworks to combat organized criminal groups and perform all duties of the member of the Convention.
