Research was designed as a cross - sectional descriptive study. Studied on 199 type 2 diabetic patients in National Endocrinology Hospital. To determine the rate of dyslipidemia in patients with type 2 diabetes. The results Wefe as followed: - According to De - Gennes the rate of lipid disorders: mixed hyperlipidemia in 70,4 percent, (of which women in 42,2 percent and male in 28,2 percent), mere high triglycerides was 4,0 percent and mere high cholesterol was 2,0 percent. - Percentage of disorders of lipi,d according to ATP III: 30,2 percent with cholesterol increased, 71,4 percent with triglycerides increased, 38,2 percent with HDL - C reduced and 71,4 percent with LDL - C increased.
