Testing result for some clinical signs and blood physiological index of 40 white mice infected with Trypanosoma evansi showed that: - White mouse was a most sensitive experimental animal with T.evansi and when animal was infected with T.evansi, it was usually at acute state. - The clinical signs often seen in the infected white mice including: fever, swollen eyelids, fuzzy weakness and neurological symptoms when it was going to die. - The number of red blood cells, the volume rate of red blood cells, the average concentration of hemoglobin in the infected white mice were reduced according to infected level as well as infected time. - The average volume of the red blood cells in the infected white mice was increased compared to the normal mice. - In the infected white mice, the average number of white blood cells was increased. In the white blood cell formula, the rate of neutrophils, eosinophils was increased, but alkaline leukocyte was reduced compared to that before infection.
