Shoes are one of the important military items for the Vietnam People's Army. Shoes not only meet the protection requirements but also meet the aesthetic requirements, show professionalism, modernity, etc. of military forces. Therefore, ensuring the quality of shoes is an important issue. The article presents the results of analysis and assessment of the current situation of military shoe quality control of the General Department of Logistics, Ministry of National Defense and at Joint Stock Company 32 on the basis of comparison with the product quality control in export shoe manufacturing enterprises. Since then, technological solutions have been established to improve quality control. Initial results of the application of some solutions to the actual production of K08 shoes at the Company show that the established solutions are feasible and give positive results. The quality of shoes is significantly improved, the defect rate on semi-finished products is reduced by about 30%, the defect rate on finished shoes is reduced by 50%. This is the initial basis for the Company to continue to apply the remaining solutions, apply new management tools and Lean production model to improve productivity and quality of military shoes.
