Nilaparvata lugens (Homoptera) is a common pest found on rice. Research on the effectiveness of the entomopathogenic fungus Metarhizium anisopliae to control this species was successful. The results show the relative effectiveness of bio-products, Metavina using different concentrations: Metavina 90DP 1 percent, Metvina 90DP 1.75 percent, Metavina 90DP 2.5 percent and a Mixture formulation (Metavina 90DP 1 percent + Imidacloprid 0.001 percent). Of these formulas the mixture treatment was the most effective.
