The electrochemical behavior of ponceau 4R on the gold electrode modified with silver and reduced graphene oxide (Ag/rGO/AuE) has been investigated by cyclic and differential pulse adsorptive anodicstripping voltammetry. The electrochemical reaction was reversible and adsorptive on the surface of Ag/rGO/AuE. The optimal conditions to determine ponceau 4R were pH = 2, adsorption potential 0.3 V, adsorption time 30 s, scan rate 0.025 V/s, linear range from 5.0 ×10-8 M to 2.5×10-7 M. The limits of detection and quantification were 1.5×10-8 M and 5×10-8 M, respectively. The developed method was successfully applied for determination of ponceau 4R in soft drinks samples.
