Đái tháo đường típ 2 là bệnh mạn tính phổ biến với nhiều biến chứng. Các bài thuốc Y học cổ truyền (YHCT) được quan tâm nhờ tính an toàn và cải thiện triệu chứng toàn thân so với một số thuốc tân dược. Mục tiêu: Đánh giá tiềm năng điều trị đái tháo đường típ 2 của các bài thuốc YHCT qua các nghiên cứu thực nghiệm và lâm sàng tại Việt Nam. Phương pháp: Tổng quan có hệ thống các tài liệu từ 2000–2024 trên PubMed, ScienceDirect, Google Scholar và tạp chí y khoa, tạp chí YHCT, lựa chọn nghiên cứu có can thiệp bằng bài thuốc YHCT trên mô hình động vật hoặc bệnh nhân ĐTĐ típ 2. Kết quả: Có 10 bài thuốc được tổng hợp, Thập Vị Giáng Đường, Tieukhatling và Nhất Đường Linh cho kết quả giảm glucose máu và HbA1c có ý nghĩa thống kê. Hầu hết bài thuốc không gây độc tính và ít tác dụng phụ. Kết luận: Các bài thuốc YHCT tại Việt Nam cho thấy hiệu quả và độ an toàn cao trong điều trị ĐTĐ típ 2, cần tiếp tục nghiên cứu chuẩn hóa, mù đôi, đối chứng để tăng giá trị ứng dụng.
Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is a common chronic disease associated with various complications. Traditional medicine (TM) formulas have garnered attention due to their safety profile and ability to improve systemic symptoms compared to some conventional antidiabetic drugs. Objective: To assess the therapeutic potential of Vietnamese traditional medicine formulas in the treatment of T2DM, based on experimental and clinical studies. Methods: A systematic review was conducted using publications f-rom 2000 to 2024 retrieved f-rom PubMed, Science Direct, Google Scholar, medical journals, and traditional medicine journals. Studies were se-lected if they involved TM herbal formulas used in animal models or in patients with T2DM. Results: A total of 10 traditional formulas were included. Among them, Thap Vi Giang Duong, Tieu khat linh, and Nhat Duong Linh demonstrated statistically significant reductions in both blood glucose and HbA1c levels. Most of the formulas reported no acute toxicity and few adverse effects. Conclusion: Traditional medicine formulas in Vietnam exhibit promising effectiveness and safety in the treatment of T2DM. Further randomized, double-blind, and controlled studies with standardized formulations are necessary to enhance their clinical applicability.
