Đánh bắt cá bất hợp pháp là vấn đề nghiêm trọng ảnh hưởng đến an ninh lương thực, kinh tế biển và môi trường sinh thái của nhiều quốc gia ven biển. Bài viết trình bày khái quát về khung pháp lý quốc tế liên quan đến hành vi đánh bắt cá bất hợp pháp và các quy định có liên quan trong pháp luật hình sự của một số quốc gia Đông Nam Á như Indonesia, Philippines. Từ đó, bài viết đưa ra một số kiến nghị hoàn thiện pháp luật Việt Nam cũng như các giải pháp nhằm phòng, chống hành vi này ở nước ta trong thời gian tới.

Illegal fishing is a serious issue affecting food security, marine economy and ecological environment of many coastal countries. This article presents an overview of the international legal framework related to illegal fishing and related provisions in the criminal law of some Southeast Asian countries such as Indonesia and the Philippines. From there, the article makes some recommendations to improve Vietnamese law as well as solutions to prevent and combat this behavior in Vietnam in the coming time.
