Assessing the risk of abnormal bleeding due to surgery is a concern of doctors in various specialties all over the world as well as in Vietnam. What role do Pre-operative screening tests play in prognosticating the risk of bleeding prior surgery? Is it necessary to conduct blood clotting tests pre-surgery? What test should be made, especially in current condition of Vietnam. By evaluating the current situation of laboratory facilities in hospitals in Vietnam and the need of conducting pre-operative screening tests as well as insurance policy..., the authors would like to propose some pre-operative screening tests.
