The study examines the impact of emotion, its intensity and duration on employees’ work effectiveness. Three hundred eighty-two employees aged between 18 and 59 from 8 organizations with different professions participated in this study. The questionnaire was used to collect data on the influence of 03 positive emotions and 05 negative emotions on the working time of the day, work performance and the amount of work completed during the day. The results showed that emotions have a multi-dimensional effect on work performance, and in this multi-dimensional impact, the duration and intensity of emotions are involved. The results suggested that it is necessary to raise the organization’s awareness that emotions in the workplace play an important role in promoting employee performance and reducing their negative effects.
