Since the two countries normalized relations in 1991, economic and trade relations between Vietnam and China have developed strongly. Especially, since 2000, the trade turnover has continuously increased and always exceeded the targets set by the leaders of the two countries. However, from time to time, trade and economic relations between the two countries were also influenced by a number of other factors, which made the domestic public to pay more attention to issues that existed in Vietnam - China trade. The article looks back and assesses the changes in trade relations between the two countries from 2014 to the present, highlighting existing problems and some recommendations for increasing Vietnam-China trade relations in the coming time.
